Elle s'appelait Sarah tells two stories. On one hand, it is the story of Sarah, a young Jewish girl who was arrested with her parents during the Vél d'Hiv roundup in July 1942; on the other hand, it is the story of Julia, an American journalist living in Paris with her family, who is writing an article to mark the 60th anniversary of this tragic event.
