Elektronische Zither

After several years of development, the company Zitherbau Horst Wünsche KG , succeeded in 2006 by producing the - as far as known - first electric zither, a new direction for the traditional instrument zither. Is the zither in electronic form now band capable ? Can it be integrated into society, music lessons as well as into various genres of music? The author Veronika Daxecker documents for the first time the development of this new innovation from the workshop to its use on stage and in the classroom. In addition to the development procedure, she refers to a new presentation of the instrument in a band, which results in pedagogical aspects for an expanded, varied and modern zither lessons.
