Product details
After several years of development, the company Zitherbau Horst Wünsche KG succeeded in producing what is believed to be the first electric zither in 2006, paving a new direction for the traditional instrument. Is the zither now suitable for band performances in its electronic form? Can it be integrated into social settings, music education, and various music genres? The author Veronika Daxecker documents for the first time the journey of this new innovation from the workshop to its use on stage and in the classroom. In addition to the creation process, she highlights a novel presentation of the instrument in a band, which leads to pedagogical aspects for an expanded, varied, and modern zither education.
