Élaboration et Caractérisation du nano-composite PMMA/Cloisite®30

"Development and Characterization of the PMMA/Cloisite®30 Nano-composite" is a technical book that focuses on the study of nano-composite membranes made from PMMA and Cloisite® 30B. The work describes the production of these membranes in solution and the various methods used to characterize the samples. The techniques employed include thickness measurement, swelling tests, fluidity indices, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results indicate that the addition of Cloisite® 30B increases the swelling capacity in water and the viscosity of the nano-composite. Furthermore, the interaction between the polymer and the reinforcing material is highlighted through FTIR analyses, while the TGA results demonstrate an improved thermal stability of the PMMA. The SEM observations support the findings of the FTIR analyses and reveal the specific interactions between the pure polymer and the reinforcing material.
