Einhörnchen

Squirrel is smaller than its siblings and is therefore constantly teased. It decides to climb down from the tree to find out if it will fare better with other animals. It must endure many adventures before returning to its family as the celebrated hero Unicorn! After leaving its home tree, Squirrel befriends the rabbit children, a family of ducks, the blackbirds, and a stag one by one. Each time, Squirrel realizes that it is not made for a life like the other animals lead. In the end, Squirrel feels homesick and is frightened to be all alone in the dark night. Then it remembers the old shed horn that the stag gave it. And thanks to this horn, and because it is truly brave, Squirrel becomes Unicorn and earns the respect of all.
