Additionally, it allows you to conduct your own research project on image segmentation. The book critically analyzes and compares a wide range of literature on existing approaches. It presents a thorough analysis of graph-based segmentation methods. Later, an optimal procedure is proposed, which includes various important processes such as preprocessing, noise removal, acceleration, merging, and labeling of segmented images. The results are evaluated and compared using various performance assessment parameters such as execution time, performance ratio, PSNR, precision, and recall.
