A young and ambitious Italian woman dreams of a career as a psychiatrist with a professorship. In London, a great opportunity opens up for her. However, the more she tries to assert herself, the more she becomes entangled in power games, intrigues, and conflicts with colleagues and superiors. She makes decisions whose consequences she soon can no longer control and forms risky connections with hackers. When she accidentally discovers an old family photo that is unfamiliar to her, it leads to panic and intense explorations of her past. It is a fine line between strength and self-loss, between feeling alien and longing for belonging.
