Víctor Català's second novel A Film (3000 Metres) from 1926 is, like Solitud (1905), which became a worldwide success, another masterpiece with countless reflections of famous novels. In it, she gives free rein to her enthusiasm for the underworld, like Poe or Hugo, with the scandalous pen of a woman who wrote under a pseudonym all her life to avoid having to subordinate her talent to a gender issue.
