Joakim Zander, born in 1975 in Stockholm, grew up in Söderköping on the Swedish coast and has lived in Syria, Israel, and the USA. He studied law in Uppsala, earned his doctorate in Maastricht, and then worked for the European Parliament and the European Commission in Brussels and Helsinki. His debut novel "The Swimmer," which is the first in the Klara Walldéen series, was published in 30 countries and became an international bestseller, with a US film adaptation planned. Following the sequels "The Brother" and "The Friend," the author explores new paths with his literary thriller "An Honest Life," which is prominently being adapted by Netflix. The author lives in Lund.

Ulla Ackermann, born in 1978, studied Scandinavian Studies and German Studies in Münster/Westphalia and Lund. After her studies, she lived in Stockholm for several years. Since 2015, she has worked as a freelance translator in Kiel, translating novels and non-fiction from Swedish and Norwegian, including works by Christoffer Carlsson, Maria Turtschaninoff, and the author duo Pascal Engman & Johannes Selåker.

Thomas Altefrohne, born in 1991, studied Scandinavian Studies and Interdisciplinary Dutch Studies in Münster/Westphalia. Since 2022, he has been translating literature from Swedish into German.
