In this decade, computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL) is increasingly gaining popularity and becoming one of the most favored approaches in the learning process. The development of digital technology has enabled learners to interact virtually by providing tools such as chats, internal emails, and discussion forums. However, this learning process can lead to learners being neglected and isolated within the group, and is typically the cause of heterogeneous groups formed based on social, cognitive, and emotional aspects. This book presents our approach, which is based on observing interactions among learners within groups and on a three-dimensional model that encompasses the participatory, interactive, and emotional dimensions. Our approach aims to develop a model that helps tutors rebuild groups that are not homogeneous, in order to prevent isolation and dropout.
