Ein brisanter Fall

Johanna Burger walked home from the central cemetery feeling sad, her thoughts restless. Every time she visited her grandfather's grave, the news of his death flashed before her eyes. Ten years earlier, at just 19 years old, she was visiting her grandmother when the police unexpectedly arrived at the apartment with the shocking news that Johanna's grandfather had been shot during a wild boar hunt in Hungary. Shortly after, her grandfather's best friend, a former regional councilor, was found murdered in his home in Weiz. The district forest director, who is her husband's superior, seems to fit this into his agenda, as suggested by his behavior. Chief Inspector Christian Mader from the state criminal police is called to investigate this mysterious death, which has some explosive details and nearly pushes the police investigation to its limits, as high politics are now involved in the case.
