Eiger - Die längste Nacht meines Lebens

Paul, Alex, Ludwig, Ruben, Maarten, and Andrea - six young climbers from South Tyrol, Bavaria, and Belgium - are making their way along the eastern ridge towards the Eiger. They have already mastered the key sections of the route and are only a few hundred meters away from their day's goal, the Mittellegihütte, when it suddenly starts to rain. What initially appears to be a light summer thunderstorm quickly transforms into a terrible weather collapse with thunderstorms, strong winds, rain, hail, and snow. Within minutes, the entire ridge is covered in a layer of snow and ice. Fog limits visibility, and night begins to fall. Continuing is no longer an option. A rescue attempt by Rega fails due to the weather conditions, and the forecasts for the next day are more bad than good. They have no choice but to set up an emergency bivouac in the middle of the ridge. Thus begins what is likely the longest and hardest night of their lives - a true fight for survival, where only one thing matters: not falling asleep! Andrea, the youngest and only woman in the group, recounts how she survived that night and shares her thoughts, fears, and hopes.
