Asterix 39: Asterix und der Greif

With Asterix and the Griffin, the duo Jean-Yves Ferri and Didier Conrad present their fifth joint Asterix album. This time, the Gauls are transported to Barbaricum, far in the wild east. After a promising dream, Getafix sets off on a journey to the land of the Sarmatians with Asterix, Obelix, and Dogmatix. There, the shaman Terrine lives with his tribe and is in dire need of help from his old friend. The Romans are on the march to capture the legendary griffin, said to dwell in this region, for Caesar. To make matters worse, Getafix's magic potion has frozen in the icy cold of the taiga, rendering it useless.
