Product details

The long-awaited sequel to Bini Adamczak's Communism takes an unexpected turn. While the short story titled "How Everything Will Finally Be Different" had the secret subtitle "Communism for Children," the second part will bear the unspoken name "Communism for Communists." Timed for the anniversary of the Russian Revolution, the re-construction of a communist desire delves into the history of communism and brushes against its grain: from 1939 to 1917. From the Hitler-Stalin Pact to the October Revolution, Adamczak's reflections revolve around the figures of party and class, of betrayal and promise, reconstructing them in their logic but, above all, as experiences. The author searches the wreckage of history for the revolutionary wishes buried beneath it. However, there is no unscathed access to the forgotten dreams.
