The letter

With a quiet click, the flap closes. The letter has irrevocably landed in the yellow mailbox. Jetta continues on, as if controlled by a remote. What has she done? Jetta's controlled life, caught between her husband, children, a possessive mother, and office work, has fallen apart. For some time now, she has been unable to stand up to her rebellious daughter or distance herself from her mother's demands. There seems to be barely any connection left with her husband either. And since a disastrous mishap occurred despite all her self-discipline, nothing seems to go right anymore. Now she has also interfered in the lives of others with an anonymous letter. The avalanche she sets in motion is becoming increasingly uncontrollable. This is a novel about a woman in her mid-forties, driven by a sense of duty and the feeling of not being enough. She runs through her life in a constant effort.
