Product details

For years, the concept of a universal basic income (UBI) has inspired the imagination of many people. With a UBI, no one should be forced into precarious work. More social security, less coercion, more freedom: legitimate wishes and demands associated with the UBI. However, the UBI also faces significant criticism from socially progressive circles: it is seen as an invitation to dismantle current social security systems, it could turn into a form of welfare for the lazy, and it risks perpetuating the discrimination of women, potentially becoming a kind of indulgence for the superfluous. Therefore, the goal is to protect the vision of an unenslaved life from possible distortions. The book presents the conditions that must be met for a UBI: it must benefit all residents, and there must be no reduction in social services.
