Ben's Fukushima

Ben's story revolves around the adventures of a modern treasure hunter. The successful IT professional dives into the virtual world of nuclear power plants, searching for data that could reveal hidden scandals related to concealed deficiencies, similar to those at Fukushima Daiichi. Ben is a modern-day dropout. He decided to embrace his new life on the evening of the Fukushima disaster, March 11, 2011. In a spectacular manner, he begins a new life in the following months, traveling to Japan to the disaster area, where he meets people who, like him, are convinced that something must be done against the indifference and cynicism of the modern world. He experiences radiation in the exclusion zone firsthand, not perceptible but only readable as numbers on Geiger counters, and he moves through the abandoned landscape once inhabited by residents, where volunteers are present.
