eBook+ inside: Buch und eBook+ Helping Hands

The eBook code for redemption in the HT-digital media shelf can be found in the printed book. It is valid for a 5-year license. In addition to the standard eBooks, there are now eBooks+: The plus indicates that these digital editions contain additional materials. The "Helping Hands" eBook+ includes 14 audio tracks for practicing listening comprehension. The audio files are directly linked to the corresponding texts in the book. Helping Hands is an English teaching resource for "helping professions" in the fields of nursing and social work. In particular, this teaching material allows classes from the two-year vocational school for social assistance (social helpers), elderly care, and educational support to practice topics relevant to their field in the target language (level A2-B1).

The content and dialogues are presented in an easy and motivating manner across double pages. Professionally oriented tasks ("Hands-on task"). Competencies are outlined according to the European Reference Framework (Interaction, Production, etc.). A "Grammar box" is integrated into professional situations, including "Practicing grammar." Vocabulary lists are provided at the end of each unit, alphabetically in the appendix. Learning aids/methods are included in the appendix (writing an essay; explaining expressions in English; expanding vocabulary, etc.). Each unit contains a listening exercise with additional dialogues from professional action situations.
