Eberhard Mahle not only bore the name of a world-renowned automotive supplier, but he was also a successful racing driver. Between 1954 and 1968, he competed in rallies and races with thirteen different car brands. He achieved 150 victories and several championship titles. With the European Hill Climb Championship in a Porsche in 1966, he won the first international title for the 911 and laid the foundation for its success. This biography reflects on the life and racing career of "Ebs" Mahle, who passed away in December 2021, whose journey to the top was also marked by setbacks.
