Product details

"Dynamic Scheduling for Real-Time Systems" is a technical book that presents the author's research findings during his doctoral studies. It serves as both a reference work for advanced courses in the field of real-time systems and for researchers working in this area. The book addresses the scheduling problem in real-time operating systems and analyzes the challenges that dynamic scheduling algorithms face under overload conditions. The aim is to optimize performance in underloaded situations and improve efficiency in overloaded conditions. The author proposes new algorithms based on modifications of the conventional Earliest Deadline First (EDF) algorithm, as well as a dynamic scheduling algorithm based on Ant Colony Optimization (ACO). Additionally, an adaptive scheduling algorithm is introduced that optimizes the execution time of the pure ACO algorithm. All algorithms are tested on various system architectures, including single processors and multiprocessor systems.
