The Duden Elementary School Dictionary includes 11,500 words and covers the entire vocabulary for elementary school, including the basic vocabulary for all federal states. A revised initial vocabulary offers a selection of the most important words in larger print and with color-coded parts of speech to facilitate the use of the dictionary. The dictionary contains many new entries such as "inclusive," "webcam," and "ecosystem," and follows the new official regulations of 2024. It features entertaining illustrations by Kerstin Meyer and has been developed and recommended by elementary school teachers. Supplementary teaching materials as well as picture dictionaries for French, Ukrainian, and Russian are available for download.
