"I want to shed light on the darkness with my story. The topic of the lost twin has long been overlooked or not taken seriously enough. Children with feelings of loss, sadness, guilt, and episodes of crying and anger are often treated for their symptoms but not understood on a deeper level. Throughout their lives, adults are repeatedly reminded of the traumatic experience in the womb by external stimuli. They often respond with depression or a longing for death. I want to show that by acknowledging, accepting, and empathizing with the painful loss, transformation can occur. The person then feels more complete and regains their strength.".
