Gaul, Rome, Egypt. Three great powers at a crossroads. 58 BC. Pressured by Germanic invasions, around one hundred thousand Helvetii set out for fertile Gaul. It is a massive migration that alarms Rome. And Julius Caesar, recently appointed proconsul, sees his opportunity: strategically brilliant, he forces the Helvetii to turn back at Bibracte, thus launching a campaign of conquest that marks the beginning of his legend.
