4000 years of men's history as a series of violence In contrast to the fairy tale of the fisherman and his wife, in 'Butt' from 1977 it is the man who - advised by the wondrous flatfish - wants to rise higher and higher and thus makes history. The story ranges from the bloody heads that the men of the Stone Age hordes beat each other, to the intercontinental missiles of our century. 400 years of men's history as a senseless round of violence are experienced in the Bay of Gdansk by the author, narrator and immortal fairy-tale hero himself, while Ilsebill, his present lover and partner at all times, in the form of nine or more cooks, ensures real progress: the eradication of hunger. A women's tribunal in Berlin in 1974 opens the process for the run-down men and the butt, because now the women want to make history. Promising hope.
