Product details

Local Law: German Law in France at the Beginning of the 20th Century. After the Franco-Prussian War, Germany annexed several departments in eastern France and made them the Imperial Territory of Alsace-Lorraine. There, German law was gradually introduced. After the return of the departments to France, German law was initially applied in full and later partially, as there was significant resistance to the abolition of numerous legal institutions. This monograph deals with this German law in 20th century France.
