Twenty years ago, the 5th edition of the book "Drug Practice · Drug Law · Drug Policy," edited by Lorenz Böllinger and Heino Stöver, was published. It has become a standard work in drug assistance. The book has been revised with the support of 69 expert authors. Unlike the original editions, it no longer focuses solely on illegal drugs but also addresses alcohol and tobacco consumption as well as non-substance-related forms of addiction. The handbook provides a fundamental overview of the various areas of the addiction support system, health-promoting and treatment offerings for consumers of different age groups, genders, and cultural backgrounds, as well as issues related to drug policy and drug law.
