We live in a time of consequences. At least many repercussions of long-established ways of life are currently becoming visible. What we see urges us to reflect deeply on the impacts of today’s actions or inactions. It also compels us to examine our relationship with what surrounds us. For what we declare as nature and what we consider technology is by no means indifferent. The ways in which plants, animals, humans, and machines create environments for one another and the relationships they have with each other will shape the future.

This edition contains essayistic reflections with numerous and diverse poetic explorations on the issue of "environments." The texts inquire about how nature is shaped by various media and how nature can even be recorded. They focus on technology that embraces humanity and possible alternatives to capitalist economies. We contemplate the connections between plants, humans, and other animals. And we dedicate ourselves to the passage of the seasons.
