The Dresden Poetry Prize occupies a special position in the broad field of literary competitions: it is open to all poets who write in German or Czech and reside in Europe. In 2022, the prize was awarded for the fourteenth time. The competition, organised by the Erich Kästner Haus für Literatur e.V., took place this time in parallel with a conference of Netzwerks Lyrik and TOLEDO ¿ Übersetzer:innen im Austausch der Kulturen, where translating poets & poetry translators exchanged ideas. The bilingual accompanying volume contains competition texts by the finalists and a speech by Volha Hapeyeva: 'Am Rande der Einsamkeit. Reflections on poetry and translation'.
