D'oultremer à indigo

I have been remounting the orenoque for four-quarters of a century, four-quarters of a century in pirogue, and when I returned to the coast, I was grey, tanned, covered with patches ofbut I was happy with myself because I was carrying in my heart a flower of the forest, a flower of solitude, an inedite flower, a flower that does not allow itself to be transplanted. it's a variety of colours that can only be found in the deepest parts of the jungle of the orenoque. the indians call it the flower that changes colour. in fact, early in the morning, the colour of this flower changes to a bright, shimmering white. towards mid-afternoon, it is slightly pink. at midday, it is a vivid red colour. at the beginning of après-midnight, it takes on an orange tint that fades, a little later, to an intense violet. In the evening, the violet turns into a clear blue, a luminous blue, a phosphorescent colour that this wonderful light preserves throughout the night to turn pale in the evening. It is an enigma that I have spent all my life studying without finding the final word.
