Product details

The book "Double-Grid Finite-Difference Frequency-Domain (DG-FDFD) Method for Scattering from Chiral Objects" provides a comprehensive analysis of the application of the overlapping grid approach to solve problems involving chiral materials using the Finite-Difference Frequency-Domain (FDFD) method. By employing two grids in this technique, the method is referred to as the Double-Grid Finite-Difference Frequency-Domain (DG-FDFD). This innovative approach allows for the definition of the electric and magnetic field components at each node in the computational space, eliminating the need to average values during calculations, as required by the conventional FDFD technique. The book formulates general 3D frequency-domain numerical methods based on the DG-FDFD approach for bianisotropic materials and validates the derived formulations by comparing the results with exact and other solutions obtained using various numerical methods.
