Dossier WeitBlick NMG: LEBEN AM UND IM WASSER

The proven series "Dossier 4 to 8" forms the basis for the development of competencies that are included in the teaching material "WeitBlick NMG" (https://www.weitblick-nmg.ch). Therefore, the series is called "Dossier WeitBlick NMG" since 2021. The proven concept remains: Field-tested learning arrangements (building blocks) offer development-oriented approaches to competencies from the subject area NMG (Curriculum 21), support the planning of thematic, subject-connecting lesson sequences and of game learning environments for initial lessons. These can be adapted according to the teaching situation, class and annual planning of the teacher and supplemented with own ideas.
The element of water attracts children to play, observe and experiment. Children can experience the seasonal changes in streams and ponds and experience the influence of the weather first hand. The focus of the dossier is on water bodies as habitats that change with the seasons and are home to a variety of living creatures. Children observe the coexistence of different species and discover initial ecological relationships. They explore their own village or the surroundings of the kindergarten or school along a body of water and thus discover what influence a body of water has on the settlement and how people influence bodies of water.
