Rose Pflock was born in 1929 in Reichenau. After studying singing, she worked for several years as a singer in various theaters. She married a cellist and has two sons. Rose Pflock has been writing texts for children for a long time. She particularly enjoys and excels at writing rhymes.

What a wonderful summer day! Matz, Fratz, and Lisettchen happily run to the seesaw. Suddenly, a summer thunderstorm gathers above their heads. The rain pours down onto the ground. The three quickly flee into a cave: But - oh! - who is that? Two little mice are already sitting inside. Together they feel scared - and that brings them closer. As the sky clears up again, the three little squirrels have made new friends, with whom the seesawing is even more fun.
