The Danube Cycle Path between Passau and Vienna is undoubtedly one of the most famous, popular, and heavily trafficked cycling routes in Europe, and for good reason: In hardly any other section of the Danube will you encounter such a variety of landscapes and cultures, as well as such a density of historical landmarks. Quiet valleys, fertile plains, and steep vineyard terraces alternate, with charming farms standing alongside magnificent monasteries. The Schlögen Danube Loop, Melk Abbey, the Wachau Valley, and of course the beautiful city of Vienna – these are the highlights of the approximately 325-kilometer-long cycling route.
