Diversity and profession

The focus of the presented dissertation by Ms. Rosken is the phenomenon of diversity and the question of what types of professional approaches educators develop in relation to this phenomenon. A corresponding study in the field of early childhood education has not been known until now, making Ms. Rosken's work a pioneering effort. Diversity is a term that has emerged in recent years as a descriptor for social variety, different backgrounds and ethnicities, as well as divergent interests and needs of individuals and groups. Too often, it gets caught up in well-meaning perspectives. What remains is a colorful variety and harmonious coexistence - at least as a normative construct. Against such forms of softening the phenomena of diversity, Anne Rosken sets a clear counterpoint with this work. Thus, she researches diversity.
