Product details

Banks are under more pressure than ever: from increasing competition, changes in markets and products due to growing globalization, and new regulations following the major financial crisis of 2009. Coupled with lawsuits, high fines, and negative press due to various scandals, as well as discussions about the compensation of 'greedy bankers', the financial industry has significantly lost reputation and profitability. This has negatively impacted the frequency and scope of conflicts between banks and their increasingly self-assured customers, leading to more frequent court disputes.

This study examines which conflicts can be resolved more efficiently through alternative dispute resolution methods compared to litigation, in terms of customer satisfaction, trust-building, dispute costs, time investment, and public impact. It reveals the opportunities and risks of various alternative procedures. The focus of the book is a critical examination of mediation. Additionally, concrete recommendations for conflict resolution are presented.
