Product details
Berlin in the 1950s: the ideal playground for intelligence agencies and spies of all kinds. Leonard Marnham, an English telecommunications technician, arrives in Berlin in 1955 at the age of 26, tasked with tapping into Soviet telephone lines. Additionally, he naively and shyly falls in love with a German woman who is four years his senior. Leonard becomes increasingly entrenched in foreign, dangerous worlds, and the beautiful Maria leads him into the hidden corners of human relationships. Marnham feels his life slipping away and finds it delightful.
