Product details

On January 1, 2011, the Swiss Code of Civil Procedure (ZPO) came into force. At the same time, the Concordat on Arbitration of March 27, 1969, was repealed. Domestic arbitration has since been regulated in Part 3 of the ZPO. This new framework for domestic arbitration is largely more modern than international arbitration, which is still governed by Chapter 12 of the IPRG. A closer look reveals that the enactment of the ZPO will not be without impact on international arbitration law. This work addresses Swiss arbitration law in its entirety. Domestic arbitration and international arbitration are presented thematically side by side. The book is aimed not only at arbitration practitioners and court personnel who encounter arbitration law but also at those with academic interests who wish to engage with arbitration law. The goal of the book is to present the entirety of Swiss arbitration law in a compact form. Swiss jurisprudence and literature have been extensively incorporated, allowing for quick access to further sources when there is a particular need to delve deeper into specific issues.
