DiKE Neue Arbeitsformen und ihre Herausforderungen im Arbeits- und Sozialversich

Legislation lags behind technical and social developments in the labor market, which raises new problems in both labor law and social security law. It is no longer consistently the norm to be employed by a single employer on a fulltime basis for many years. However, social insurance and employee protection regulations are often designed for this model. Further, the shift in the world of work towards digitalization, flexibilization, plural employers or contract providers on platforms such as Uber, Mechanical Turk, etc. means that the legal foundations no longer do justice to all employment relationships. The newly emerged forms of work lead to many challenges in teaching and practice. The contributions in this conference volume to the 8th Assistant Conference in Labor and Social Security Law from July 26-28, 2018 in Zurich are dedicated to these.
