The overarching theme 'Historical Dimensions of War Crimes Trials' encompasses the criminal proceedings against World War II war criminals conducted under international or national responsibility. It also discusses current cases of international crimes at the various International Criminal Courts currently in operation, such as the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia or the International Criminal Court.
