Air traffic generates significant emissions, which is why the aviation industry in general, and Zurich Airport AG in particular, is faced with demands to reduce noise and CO2 emissions. Fees are intended to counteract the increase in emissions. However, airport fees create a tension between the economic, political, and environmental interests of the various groups. This conference proceedings addresses the question of how this tension can and should be managed from a legal and economic perspective.
