The judicial ruling is the result of complex interactions among various actors in the judiciary. In addition to judges, seemingly secondary figures such as parties, lawyers, prosecutors, court clerks, experts, media, and associations also play an important role in the decision-making process. The aim of this volume is to shed light on the judiciary from this expanded perspective. The different distribution of roles on the stage of the judiciary is also reflected in the selection of authors: in their respective roles, they all possess significant practical and academic experience. The book addresses several areas for the first time in Swiss legal science, making it an important contribution to the judicial constitution in a broader sense.
