DiKE 21 Fälle im Straf- und Strafprozessrecht

This exercise book is aimed at students as well as candidates for the bar exam and serves as optimal preparation for the exam. Through 21 selected cases, it demonstrates and practices the practical application of criminal law and criminal procedure law. The cases are drawn from practice and have been adjusted for the case collection as necessary. This book consciously distances itself from traditional textbook cases to not only provide students with the correct methodology for exam preparation but also to highlight the practical benefits of what they have learned. By using common cases, the book is also helpful for later entry into professional practice and for preparation for the bar exam. The book is divided into the following sections: guidance and tips for solving criminal law cases (including checklists), practice cases on substantive criminal law (eleven cases), practice cases on sentencing (one case), measures (one case, new), practice cases on criminal procedure law (seven short cases), and a practice case on expulsion (one case, new). The authors have extensive experience in teaching and practice: Dr. iur. Angelika Murer Mikolásek is a former lecturer in criminal law at the Law Institute of the University of Zurich, a district judge at the District Court of Uster, and a substitute judge at the District Court of Winterthur. Lic. iur. Thomas Vesely is a district judge at the District Court of Zurich and a substitute senior judge at the High Court of the Canton of Zurich. Their extensive experiences enable the authors to prepare practice-oriented cases in a way that is suitable for students, thereby uniquely combining teaching and practice.
