die4me

The endurance poem die4me engages discursively with the (post-)queer debate surrounding healing and renarration, using the wound as a starting point rather than hoping for healing. Arns attempts to acknowledge the injury, not to forget it, but to retell it and thus find alternative ways of coexistence. The concept of autofiction by Guibert, Vuong, and Nelson is further abstracted through the incorporation of foreign text fragments (including Augustine, S. Kane, Prince, L. Wittgenstein). Based on the idea of the infinite melody, language, meaning, and content are segmented, allowing for a critical analysis as well as an immersive experience, ultimately breaking the boundary between text, image, and sculpture.
