Die Wichtelkinder

Deep in the forest, under the roots of an old pine tree, live the little gnomes with their parents. They play with their friends, the squirrels, the bat, the frogs, snails, and salamanders. But there are also other animals in the forest, like the snake, which the father protects the four children from. And then there are the trolls and fairies, whom the children watch during their nightly dances. The life of the little gnomes is depicted through all the seasons, from gathering supplies in the summer to collecting firewood and sledding in the winter. With the children, one can follow the life of nature and learn, just like in the well-loved "Häschenschule," a lot about the real and almost real creatures of the forest.
