Product details
The annulment of an adoption has significant legal and financial consequences for the adopted child, as they lose their entitlement to maintenance and statutory inheritance rights. Additionally, the biological parents are again burdened with maintenance claims from their child, as the previous kinship is restored by the annulment of the adoption. Whether and to what extent the adopted child and third parties can demand compensation for this has hardly been studied so far. This paper aims to fill this gap by examining all potential legal grounds for claims from the former adopted child and other affected third parties against the adoptive parents and possible third-party disruptors.
