Die Tote im Pelzmantel

After the great success of "The Sign of the Aries," Fred Vargas, in collaboration with the cult illustrator Baudoin, has created another criminal gem with this graphic novel: her incomparable Commissioner Adamsberg, her quirky humor, her delightful dialogues – this is Vargas's great art of storytelling.

Commissioner Adamsberg is an excellent overcome of obstacles. This is also what the homeless man Pi experiences when he witnesses the murder of a prominent young woman on a cold winter night but remains sullenly silent in front of the police. He saw nothing, heard nothing. No one helps him either, for example, with selling his nine thousand sponges, a salvage item that he pushes through the city in a shopping cart. However, Adamsberg finds the key to his stubborn soul as well as to his dignity, and in the end, he has a brilliant idea that solves both of their problems.
