A gripping novel about one of the most important representatives of surrealism1937. When the young Englishwoman Leonora Carrington meets the famous surrealist Max Ernst, he is a married man. He introduces her to the Parisian artist scene around Salvador Dalì and Pablo Picasso, and soon the passionate affair turns into a love affair. The couple moved to the south of France, where Carrington devoted himself to painting, but then World War II broke out and Max Ernst was imprisoned by the French.
