Germany and Europe are facing an economic, political, and societal turning point. Never since 1945 has a government plunged the economy deeper and more thoroughly into the abyss than the traffic light coalition. The 16 years of Merkel were the launchpad: due to misguided economic policies, overregulation, the plundering of public funds through migration, crisis management instead of risk management, and neglect of infrastructure, education, and the country's defense capabilities, reality is now presenting the bill. We are at a new zero hour. However, this is not a reason to despair. There are ways out of the crisis, back to prosperity and security. They are not comfortable, they cannot be imposed from above; they can only unfold when the state withdraws and reclaims its role. Their strength derives from the idea of freedom, personal responsibility, meritocracy, the virtues of entrepreneurship, and a free market economy.
