Die Sterne von St. Pauli

The kind of freedom that only music can promise Hamburg, 1961: Abby wants to become a photographer and live her life as intensely and freely as possible. Then she sees an unknown band from Liverpool in the Kaiserkeller that she simply has to photograph - the Beatles. Their pictures could open the door to the much-desired photography degree, but above all she falls in love with bassist Stuart Sutcliffe. But shortly afterwards the band has to return to England ... East Berlin: Sofia lives for the music she is not allowed to listen to and dreams of a life of freedom. When the Wall suddenly begins to be built, she knows she has to make a decision: Either she renounces everything she loves - or she dares to flee into the unknown ...
