Die Sprache der Knochen

A young woman has gone missing. Her family claims that Cora is doing well. However, the disturbed voice that forensic expert Tempe Brennan hears on a recording speaks a different language and raises questions. Where did the audio recording come from? Did Cora disappear of her own accord? Or is she missing because she became a victim of a crime? The bones of a body that Tempe has yet to identify seem to tell a story about Cora's disappearance that is much more horrific than Tempe had feared.
