A sensitive portrait of Vienna and its present-day inhabitants. Harald Havas roams through 20 Viennese districts with leisure and an alert eye. He points out imposing façades as well as curiosities or special features. Havas combines his knowledge, his meticulous research and his love of detail to create a very special portrait of Vienna - from the Franziskanerviertel and the Naschmarkt to the Seestadt and Nussdorf. He tracks down special people in each Grätzel who are connected to their area and weaves their stories into his description of the Grätzels. The well-known Viennese photographer Reinhard Mandl, who has already published several books with Elsengold, has taken around 300 photos that beautifully illustrate this multi-faceted tour of Vienna.
